The energy secretary of the Philippines says the country hopes to join the ranks of Asia's LNG importers in the next three years, with a $2bn project that will include a power plant.
Speaking at an industry forum, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said he is tasking the Philippine National Oil to build "an integrated LNG receiving and distributing facility with a reserve initial power plant capacity of 200 megawatts," according to GMA News.
