Ship recycling players have noted an upturn in the number of vessels being offered for scrap as prices continue to head towards the $700 per ldt barrier.

Jakarta-listed Indonesian owner Buana Lintas Lautan (BULL) is said to have been active again in the last week, selling three vessels en bloc into Bangladesh.

The 112,000-dwt aframax Bull Damai 1 (built 2004) and the smaller 105,000-dwt sister Nusa Merdeka (built 2003) were both reported sold at $670 per ldt, and the 56,875-cbm LPG carrier Gas Komodo (built 1991) fetched $680 per ldt, broking sources said.
