Damen to deliver its first CSD to South Africa

Damen Shipyards Cape Town (DSCT) will soon bring its first cutter section dredger to South Africa.

The shipbuilder said it has signed a contract with Dredging Africa for delivery of a CSD 250. Financial details were not disclosed.

The vessel, on hand due to Damen's series-building policy, will be brought to the inland dredging company in March.

Dredging Africa plans to use the dredger on multiple contracts in South Africa and Southern Africa.
