Norway’s Havfram has received another $250m equity injection from Sandbrook Capital and a new investor as it confirmed a first wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) order.

The private equity fund has teamed up with Canada’s PSP Investments for the latest funding, bringing the investment in the shipowner to $500m after Sandbrook bought into the company in November.

This cash, and credit finance from commercial banks and export credit agencies, will be used to build a fleet of state-of-the-art offshore wind vessels, Havfram said.
