Singapore has become the latest flag state to take a “pragmatic and practical approach” regarding seafarer certification due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) said all certificates issued under Chapter VI of the STCW expiring by 1 October 2020 may be extended for a period of six months.
