Norway is set to revisit the issue of pay and working conditions for seafarers in its territorial waters following cross-party majority support in parliament for a fresh government inquiry.
The inquiry will investigate what possibilities Norway has as a sovereign coastal state to impose its own regulations within the framework of international law.
Ruling coalition partner the Progress Party did a U-turn in May on its previous position, with the Conservatives subsequently also agreeing to a review.
