Hong Kong ship manager Wallem has recruited maritime industry heavyweight Alastair Marsh to its board of directors.

The former chief executive of Lloyd’s Register has over 30 years’ experience working in senior positions within various businesses.

The qualified chartered accountant left the UK classification society in December 2020 after 14 years with the company five of which as CEO.

Marsh is credited with modernising Lloyd’s Register’s business during his tenure after taking over as chief executive from Richard Sadler in 2015.
