Chipolbrok, the liner and project-cargo joint venture of Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Co, is said to be in talks with a Chinese shipyard for four multipurpose (MPP) newbuildings worth about $120m.
Industry players said Chipolbrok is in talks with Chengxi Shipyard for four 62,000-dwt vessels — despite market gloom in the MPP sector — and that the discussions are at an “advanced stage”.
