South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding has a new owner and a new name.
The medium-size shipyard is now controlled by merger-and-acquisition specialist KH Investment — the owner of K Shipbuilding (the former STX Offshore & Shipbuilding) and is called DH Shipbuilding.
A shipyard official confirmed that KH Investment is the new owner but said business operations remain unchanged.
“DH Shipbuilding will continue to specialise in building crude and product tankers,” said the official. “We are also keen to build container ships.”
