Samsung Heavy Industries Ningbo has returned to making ships' blocks after a dried-up orderbook led it to building vessels.
The yard is now manufacturing blocks for its parent company, shipbuilding giant Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), but it has also gone further afield.
Last week, the outfit won a contract from China State Shipbuilding Corp's Jiangnan Shipyard to supply blocks for 15,000-teu containerships.
