China's Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has made its much anticipated debut in the large LNG newbuilding market with orders for two 175,000-cbm vessels.
The contracts have been placed by an unnamed European shipowner with deliveries set for between 2025 and 2026, the Singapore-listed company said.
Germany’s Hammonia Reederei and Peter Dohle have come together to order the newbuildings, with the backing of the German government, shipbuilding sources said.
