The tank-barge-owning Somers family is taking over the Belgian bunker business of Bomin Group.
Germany's Bomin said certain family members, who control Belgian shipping company Somtrans, will aquire 100% of Bomin Belgium.
The company has said it would exit the Antwerp market, as well as Singapore, in September.
A rebranding will be carried out in January.
Jan Christensen, managing director of Bomin Group, said: “Since we made the announcement in September that we were exiting the Belgium bunkering market, we have been in discussions with a number of parties regarding the sale of the business.
