Bouchard Transportation is getting ships back on the water amid its court-supervised restructuring effort.
The Long Island shipowner received approval from US Bankruptcy Judge David Jones to fix three of its articulated tug barges on bareboat charters to Unico Commodities' marine shipping unit.
The court filings related to the transaction did not disclose the length of the charters or the rate, only that they "reflect standard market terms in the Jones Act trade".
