Greece’s Capital Maritime & Trading has failed in a bid to overturn a ruling that it must pay SK Shipping $5m in a row over an early termination of a VLCC charter.
The Evangelos Marinakis-backed company went to the UK Court of Appeal to contest a 2020 judgment that saw it liable for unpaid charter hire for the South Korean owner’s 314,000-dwt C Challenger (built 2012).
