Norwegian chemical carrier owner Odfjell is still being hampered by product tankers muscling in on its trades due to weak oil markets.

The company said its sector remained challenging during the third quarter as ongoing US supply disruptions were exacerbated by additional weather-related shutdowns and the influx of "swing tonnage" from the poor clean-product sector.

"The ongoing weakness in crude and clean product markets continues to impede a recovery in the chemical tanker market," Odfjell added.
