Clearlake Shipping has time-chartered an asphalt and bitumen carrier newbuilding that is slated to be delivered before the end of the year.
The company said it has fixed the 37,000-dwt ship to complement the parent company — Gunvor Group’s growing asphalt trading business.
Clearlake did not disclose the charter details or the owner of the asphalt carrier. However, it said the newbuilding, to be named White Pearl, will be delivered before the end of 2021.
