d’Amico International Shipping (DIS) has splashed out on another bareboat-chartered tanker at a rock-bottom price.

The Milan-listed Italian company exercised its purchase option for the 46,000-dwt High Voyager (built 2014) for $20.8m.

VesselsValue assesses the ship as worth $38m, having risen in value from $24.5m this year.

Delivery will be in January.

Chief executive Paolo d’Amico said the vessel is a modern eco unit built at a top-quality South Korean yard, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.
