Greece's Eurotankers has expanded its fleet further by buying an eight-year-old aframax from Singapore’s Pusaka Laut, London-based brokers report. If confirmed, it would be the Gotsis family company's 15th tanker acquisition in four years.
The 104,600-dwt Nanyang Star (built 2012) fetched $32m in the deal, as TradeWinds reported last month when no information existed on the ship's putative buyers. Clarksons is now identifying Eurotankers as its new owners.
Other brokers said the Japanese-built vessel changed hands at a much lower $30.5m.
