Russia and Iran — two countries facing severe sanctions by Western nations — vowed on Tuesday to make common cause against them.
In a joint declaration signed in Moscow by their respective foreign ministers, Sergei Lavrov and Hossein Amirabdollahian, Moscow and Tehran raised the prospect of seeking “compensation and reparation” for “economic or financial damage suffered” as a result of such measures.
