Japan has imported Yemeni Masila crude oil for the first time since 2015.

The country wants to expand its supply options, Platts reported.

It cited market sources as saying around 200,000 barrels were loaded on to Samos Steamship's 115,000-dwt aframax Ambelos (built 2017) for JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy's 135,000-barrel-per-day Sakai refinery in Osaka Bay, where it arrived on Monday.
