Finnish oil and energy group Neste has tied up a deal to use maritime technology company Seaber.io’s logistics planning systems to make fleet scheduling and port calls more efficient.

Neste, which is aiming to be a major producer of renewable and sustainable fuels, is using Seaber’s software, which is designed for bulk ship and cargo owners, for optimising scheduling efficiencies and transparency across its maritime activities.

Finland’s Seaber said its intelligent technology provides data-led decision support to fleet time charter equivalent operations to reduce costs per tonne-mile and bring down environmental impacts.
