NewLead Holdings announced an already commenced time-charter contract for one of its five bitumen tankers.
The charterer, which was not disclosed, took delivery of the 3,400-dwt Ioli (built 2009) for a six-month charter ending in October. The rate was undisclosed. NewLead said the Ioli is trading in Scandinavia.
The Ioli transported 1.1 million barrels of bitumen last year, principally among major refiners in Northern Europe.
