Greece’s Polembros Shipping has offloaded its oldest tanker, in a private deal that escaped market attention.

The Spiros Polemis-led company is now exploring opportunities to replace the 150,800-dwt suezmax Nautic (built 1998) with newbuilding tonnage.

Athens-based Polembros has now removed the Nautic from its fleet list. The NKK Corp-built ship was the oldest in its fleet of 14 suezmaxes and aframaxes.
