Saudi Arabian industrial conglomerate Ajlan & Bros Holding Group is moving into shipowning in a deal with state shipping company Bahri.
The two companies are setting up a new joint venture to own, operate and manage “various models of vessels” to serve as an essential contributor to the nation’s fleet, they said.
Bahri, a tanker specialist, will act as the new entity’s commercial and technical manager.
