French company Trans Oceanic Wind Transport (Towt) has ordered a second cargo sailing vessel in response to demand from customers looking to decarbonise their operations.
Towt, which confirmed a first vessel order at Piriou naval shipyard in January 2022, said its two newbuildings will be 80 metres long and able to carry more than 1,100 tonnes of cargo — equivalent to 50 semi-trailers or more than 100 containers — with 12 passengers on board.
