German liner operator Hapag-Lloyd and cash buyer Best Oasis reported coming under cyber-attacks on Monday.

They both issued warnings to customers.

Hapag-Lloyd said its IT security team found a copy of its website on the internet that is “very likely” used to redirect unsuspecting users to fake sites via “spear phishing” attacks.

“This means that emails are used to redirect users to this site and when they log in with their personal access data, which are then tapped by criminals,” the German owner said.
