Sources say the 82,000-cbm Hellas Glory (built 2008) has been fixed for six to eight months at $65,000 per day.
Clearlake took the ship on a three-year charter from June last year and is consequently locking in a profit with the relet.
Spot rates for VLGCs are currently around $65,000 per day. The owner can only hope for an equally high rate if the market rises, which brokers expect to happen, partly for seasonal reasons.
