Equipment from a showpiece facility is expected to draw interest from Far East yards.

The loss-making Odense Steel Shipyard (OSS) in Denmark is about to go under the auctioneer’s hammer.

Equipment at the facility in Lindo, originally founded in 1917 by the late AP Moller, founder of Maersk Line, will be sold off in a series of auctions starting 14 June.

Maynards Europe GmbH and Hilco Industrial Europe say they secured title to the capital assets and are now behind the sell-off of the yard’s 12 shipbuilding manufacturing and welding lines.

The
