German owner NSB Reederei has appointed CEO Helmut Ponath's son Tim Ponath as its new boss.
The generational change will take effect from 1 January.
The Buxtehude boxship company said the move was part of a successful reorientation from a shipmanaging company to an international maritime service provider.
Markus Thewes and Dirk Kleinekampmann will complete the management team in new roles as CCO and CFO respectively.
