CSAV and Hamburg Sud are joining forces on a new service serving the east coasts of North and South America in the face of falling volumes.
The Chilean liner operator said volumes on the route had fallen by about 40% during the past year, but gave no figures.
It said the new service was aimed at adjusting its services to meet the “new scenario and needs” of the trade.
