The Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) has issued cease-and-desist orders and the "administrative surcharge payment" for unreasonable restraint of trade.
The owner was told to confirm it now complies with guidelines and to implement periodic training for its employees, as well as carry out periodic audits.
The company said the car carrier division's CEO, directors and executive officers will voluntarily hand back between 10% and 30% of their salaries for three months.
