In a statement the French carrier said it has launched two new services to connect these regions, Noura Express and Swahili Express.
Four containerships with carrying capacities of 1,800 to 2,200 teu will support the former. The latter will boast six 2,800-teu vessels.
CMA CGM was quick to point out that, as soon as these services are implemented, it will be the only carrier that offers a direct service between India and Zanzibar.
