Castor Maritime has added a third panamax bulker to its fleet at a cost of $10.2m, the Cyprus-based shipowner has confirmed.
It has agreed to buy a 2005 Japan-built bulker from a third party linked to a family member of chief executive Petros Panagiotidis.
The Nasdaq-listed owner expects to take delivery of the unnamed vessel by the end of this month subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions.
