Shipowner New Horizon is entering the supramax arena with the purchase of a 10-year-old ship, brokers said.
According to reports, the Greek shipowner has acquired the 58,700-dwt Angel B (built 2008) for $14.15m.
Market rumours initially suggested that Thoresen Shipping had picked up the Tsuneishi Cebu-built ship. Sources close to Thoresen, however, quickly dismissed that information.
Managers at Piraeus-based New Horizon did not respond to an e-mail requesting comment by press time.
