A London tribunal has ruled against Thai owner Precious Shipping in a row with Sanfu Shipyard over promised fuel savings for two bulker newbuildings.
Precious will now pay back $32m in loans from the yard.
The company was claiming damages after alleging that two new ultramaxes consumed excessive amounts of bunkers.
Precious has until 4 October next year to pay.
