Scorpio Bulkers to lease back three ships to Ocean Yield

Scorpio Bulkers has agreed to sell three vessels and lease them back on longterm charters to diversified owner Ocean Yield.

The Emanuele Lauro-led owner of 33 bulkers will offload ultramaxes 61,000-dwt SBI Cronos (built 2015) and 61,300-dwt SBI Achilles (built 2016) and kamsarmax 82,000-dwt SBI Lynx (built 2018) to Ocean Yield for $62.8m.

It will lease them back on respective bareboat charters of nine years, 10 years and 12 years.
