Greece's Seanergy Maritime Holdings is adding another Japanese-built capesize while waving goodbye to its oldest vessel.

The Nasdaq-listed company said it is paying $24.6m for a 2009-built bulker from a major Japanese owner.

Brokers identified the vessel as NYK Line's 177,000-dwt Ocean Clarion. The price had earlier been reported at $24m.

VesselValue assesses the ship as worth $25.4m.

The bulker will be renamed Friendship, bringing the Seanergy fleet to 16 ships.
