Shandong Zhonglu Fishery Shipping has confirmed that the crew of one of its reefers are all safe and accounted for after being forced to abandon ship following the outbreak of a fire on board yesterday.

The 6,400-dwt Sea Mark (built 1984) was 330 km east of the Japanese island of Iwo Jima when it caught fire.

There were a reported 22 crew members onboard the Panamanian-flagged vessel, which was on a voyage from Ningbo to Majuro.
