A CMA CGM-chartered container ship has suffered a fire, but its crew was quickly able to control the blaze.
Danaos Shipping, manager of the 6,552-teu CMA CGM Rabelais (built 2010), said the fire broke out at 1200 GMT Wednesday in a container on the ship’s deck.
“The master immediately ordered a firefighting operation and the fire was soon controlled and remains so,” said the company.
