Regional Container Lines (RCL) has reported a second quarter net profit of THB 215m ($6.9m) despite the impact of the coronavirus on intra-Asia trade.
The Bangkok-listed shipowner said the volume of containers handled was down 15% year-on-year to 465,000-teu during the quarter.
However, despite the lower volume RCL said revenue per teu improved by 8% and as a result total group revenue only declined by 9% to THB 3.9bn.
