Cybersecurity is one of US Customs and Border Protection's top security challenges in protecting the maritime industry from outside threats, according to agency officials.
Like several other sectors, it enjoys the speed and volume with which digital information systems send and store data, but at the risk of being exposed to bad actors, said Troy Miller, director of the New York field office.
