MSC Cruises is the latest cruise provider to prolong its fleet suspension into summer amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Pierfrancesco Vago-led owner of 13 ships has pushed out its lay-up date to 10 July, scuttling its latest plan to start sailing again at the very end of May.

"MSC Cruises regrets to inform you that due to the evolving Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, we have made the difficult decision to cancel or change select cruises," the privately held company said Wednesday.
