Italian ferry and ro-ro operator Moby Group saw a significant spike in half-year results.

The Vincenzo Onorato-controlled owner's Ebitda came in at a €47.8m profit versus a €8.8m loss compared to the same period last year.

Revenue jumped 8.7% to €256.3m, thanks to 'positive trends' both in the passenger and cargo sectors, the company said.

Mediterranean passenger results benefited from pricing aimed at boosting passenger volume to and from Sardinia beyond summer and in the Baltic Sea, where volume grew 4%.
