Estonia's Tallink has increased profit in the fourth quarter as passenger and cargo numbers improved.

The ro-pax company said net earnings to 31 December were EUR 3.87m ($4.73m), against EUR 3.51m in 2016.

Revenue grew to EUR 232.85m from EUR 226.13m over the same period.

Revenue from all geographical segments increased compared to same period last year, it said.

Passenger numbers rose 4% and freight grew 14.1%.
