Navibulgar confirms ABC bulker swoop

Bulgaria’s Navibulgar has finalised the acquisition of the first of four bulkers from ABC Maritime of Switzerland.

It confirmed the purchase of the 36,000-dwt Adfines South (built 2012), which has now been renamed Chumerna.

And it said three more ships would follow in the coming months.

Sources told TradeWinds in November that the Bulgarian owner was paying $8m for each of the Zhejiang Zhenghe Shipbuilding-built Adfines North, Adfines East, Adfines West (all built 2012) and Adfines South.
