Croatian cement carrier company Splitska Plovidba has posted much better profit for 2008 after its revenue jumped.
The Zagreb-listed owner said net earnings last year were HRK 8.5m ($1.5m), from HRK 1.02m in 2007.
Revenues climbed to HRK 72.8m, against HRK 50.5m the year before, while costs rose to HRK 64.3m from HRK 49.5m.
The Split-based company runs four elderly cement carriers and three general cargoships.
