Globus Maritime trimmed losses for the third quarter in great part due to higher freight rates.

The New York-listed bulker owner's revenue for the quarter jumped 58% from 12 months ago to $3.98m.

The shipowner's top line benefited from a 52% spike in average daily time charter equivalent rates to $7,621 per day earned by its vessels.

The firm still reported net loss of $1.47m
