Directors at New York’s Genco Shipping & Trading and Florida-based Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) were the highest-paid among US-domiciled cargo shipping companies for 2017, according to a TradeWinds review of public filings.

The US-flag tanker operator and international trade bulker owner virtually tied for the top position, with records showing OSG directors averaging $162,000 and Genco board members $160,000.

All averages take into account cash payments for duties such as basic membership and serving as a chair or member of various committees within the board.
