Eleven more South Korean shipowners are reported to have applied for the government’s sale and lease back program.
The transactions will involve 18 unspecified ships in a deals worth a total of KRW 341.5bn ($305m), Yonhap news agency reported.
The applications were the first for the new financial year according to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Korea Ocean Business Corp (KOBC).
