The company, which unveiled the secondary offering last week, intends to put some of the cash toward the $312m purchase of three 9,100-teu containership newbuildings and an order for two medium-range products tankers from sponsor Capital Maritime & Trading.
It will also help Athens-based Capital Product repurchase more than 5.95 million common shares from Capital Maritime at $60m, among other uses.
